Employers are seeing a rise in fraudulent job postings. This is where an individual claims to be in the HR or recruiting department of an organisation in order to obtain personal information. Fake job adverts are not always easy to spot and it’s important to us that you know when an advert from Phoenix Group is legitimate and your data is safe.
Applying directly for a role with Phoenix Group
- The only way to directly apply for a job with Phoenix Group is via our careers site
- We will never approach you for a vacancy via text, Whatsapp or any other communication app. You may opt to receive SMS updates from us about your application after applying via the secure careers website, and these messages will only ever be sent via our secure HR system, powered by Oracle. These communications will appear from a telephone number ending in 9716. You can also ask us to verify this at any time
- The data collected on our secure application form is held in line with our privacy policy and terms and conditions. You can view these terms on the careers website at any time
- We advertise our jobs on websites such as Indeed, Glassdoor and LinkedIn. These adverts will redirect you to the secure application form on our careers site as above
- You may be approached by a member of the Phoenix Group in-house Talent Acquisition team, usually via LinkedIn. Our in-house Talent Acquisition team have Phoenix branding on their profiles and any emails will be addressed from our Phoenix Group (@thephoenixgroup.com), Standard Life (@standardlife.com) or Reassure (@Reassure.co.uk) email addresses, all of which operate under the Phoenix Group employer brand. Our Talent Acquisition team will direct you to the secure application form should you wish to apply
- Once you have completed your application, you will receive system-generated emails (or SMS messages if you have chosen this as your preference) from our recruitment system, powered by Oracle. These communications will include links to the secure candidate portal and application form
- A common way for fraudsters to communicate with you is via text, Whatsapp or other app messaging, often from a phone number based outside of the UK and Ireland. Phoenix Group and recruitment agencies acting on our behalves will never contact you in this way. We will only ever contact you via text if you have opted in to receive SMS messages when submitting your application
- We’ll never ask for any form of payment during the recruitment process
