Phoenix is a strong believer in the consumer benefits of the Pensions Dashboard service. There is clear value for customers in terms of understanding and engaging with their historic and current pensions savings and preparing for their future.

Whilst we await news on the next stage of the dashboard, we continue to develop our own systems and are working on giving our customers DC pension real time values through our new digital initiative. A significant number of our customers can already view this information and we are aiming to give this access to 100% of our customers in 2018.

In terms of functionality, eligible customers with real time access to their DC pension values are also able to encash a fund of less than £10k fully online (providing they have no guarantees in place), obtain an online indicative quote on what the highest standard Phoenix annuity would provide and download a retirement pack.

We are looking to introduce further digital initiatives in 2018.
