We’re committed to making a difference in the communities in which we’re based, using our collective expertise to address pressing societal issues.
Through alignment with the Group’s purpose of helping people secure a life of possibilities, we are developing Group-wide community investment opportunities focusing on financial inclusion and mental health, whilst also addressing further areas of societal need identified at a micro level.
Our community engagement programme will seek to maintain and forge new partnerships with charities, schools, youth groups, local businesses and local council.
Giving back is part of Phoenix’s culture so there are plenty of opportunities for colleagues to get involved in charity fundraising, volunteering or community activity.
We are committed to playing an active role in the wider community through supporting local initiatives and making charitable donations. We believe this commitment leads to greater employee engagement and is also attractive to potential employees, suppliers and customers.
Colleagues across the Group are involved in selecting our corporate charity partners and regularly participate in a programme of fundraising and awareness initiatives on and offsite for these causes.
Our colleagues have a passion for making a difference and giving back is a part of our culture.

Fundraising is personal, so we make sure that colleagues are also able to support causes outside of these formal partnerships. They can apply for Company matching on their charitable fundraising endeavours, or by participating in a range of ‘Give as you Earn’ schemes. A charitable donation in lieu of volunteering time is also available for colleagues who regularly give back to their local communities in their own time.
All monetary donations from Phoenix Group are paid in £-Sterling, and donated only to registered charities that are not deemed to promote religious or political beliefs. UK charities we support financially must be registered with the Charity Commission or Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator, and Irish charities need to be registered by the Charities Regulator.
